HPE Turkey held the “Primera” product launch hosted by the Information Technologies and Communication Authority.
The opening of the program was also attended by BTK President Ömer Abdullah Karagözoğlu. Providing information about the institution's activities, Karagözoğlu also spoke about the development of technology.
Expressing that both the public sector and the private sector are working to provide qualified services, Karagözoğlu said, “In our country, public and private sector organizations not only closely follow the innovations brought by technology but also benefit from them. Because tomorrow's winners will be those who adapt most quickly to next-generation technologies.”
Stating that the institution is also conducting important work in the field of cybersecurity, Karagözoğlu shared, “As the Information Technologies and Communication Authority, in addition to being a regulatory body in the field of information technologies and electronic communications, we have taken on many responsibilities in areas such as information technologies, the internet, and cybersecurity as a result of emerging needs in our country. In line with our goal of making our country one of the first nations to transition to 5G and beyond mobile communication technologies with the highest possible levels of domestic and national ratios, we are conducting various studies to establish the 5G and Beyond ecosystem.”
President Karagözoğlu also provided information about USOM. Reminding that USOM fulfills important functions for the development of our country's cybersecurity ecosystem, Karagözoğlu said, “USOM continues its activities to prevent cyber threats by conducting alarm, warning, and announcement activities, to take control of incidents with on-site intervention teams in critical situations, and to provide national coordination in responding to cyber incidents. USOM, equipped with malware analysis and digital analysis capabilities, also plays an important role in the employment and training of expert personnel in this field. In addition to organizational structuring, we continue to develop our technological infrastructures that enhance operational capabilities entirely with domestic and national resources. In this context, with our software named AVCI, AZAD, and KASIRGA, developed to detect cyber attacks and vulnerabilities and to communicate these detections to other relevant institutions, we ensure that measures are taken in the fastest manner against advanced threats,” concluding his speech.
President Karagözoğlu later visited the stands and received information about the products.
